GRAND CENTRAL MARKET LOS ANGELES 

MODERN NOSTALGIA

Designing one of the only branding changes for Grand Central Market Los Angeles in 103 years, was an honor and pleasure as it is an icon of history for Los Angeles. 

The design theme Modern Nostalgia combines the past and future concurrently providing a sense of familiarity and security of new timelessness. Influenced by the manufacturing styles of the classic and historic neon signs, the signage is oversized and extruded to a point of nostalgia. 

The graphics provides oversized historic rounded shapes with elegant matte black core, combined with white typography. The minimal color palette provides a sense of the past, but closely provides the feel of modern fashion.
